The Presenters:

Louise O’Donnell is VP of MIS and Senior Project Manager at Sun National Bank. She has 16 years of systems experience and leadership in enterprise application development, database re-engineering (ERP-DW), business intelligence and knowledge management with whole life-cycle methodology. Louise is responsible for strategic planning, tactical planning and execution of development and implementation processes. Louise has developed partnerships with organizations providing services and solutions in the areas of data warehousing, data mining, decision support systems (DSS), On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).

Louise holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and is a certified Project Manager, PMP, and a member of the Project Management Institute.

With the economy of the past few years, many companies have cut back hiring and increased demands for more diverse developer skills. Many developers and project leads find themselves with smaller teams, increased workloads, limited funds and working remotely. Communication used to mean going to the next cube or office. Now personnel can be hundreds of miles away. This presentation will discuss how creative problem solving techniques can meet business-critical objectives within multiple environments and avoid common pitfalls. Topics will include:

 

 

Scott W. Ambler is senior consultant with Ronin International, Inc., a software services consulting firm that specializes in software process mentoring and agile software development. Scott is the (co-)author of several books, including Agile Modeling, Agile Database Techniques, The Object Primer 3/e, and The Elements of UML Style. Scott is a contributing editor with Software Development magazine and Senior Columnist with Computing Canada.
